Personal Recount of CIP Work

I have done many CIP work but this is the one that needed the most hard work and the most boring, Flag Day. Let me tell you more about what i been through.

It was a very fine morning and we were asked to gather at a MRT station for our flag day. We were asked to start the flag day at 8.30am but the whole thing started at 9.30am. We had to line up to get the donation bag and the line was very long. So after getting the donation bag, my friends and I decided to go to Tampines Mall to collect donation.

As we arrived at the Mall, we were shocked that there were a lot of other schools also having this donation. So it was a hard time for us to collect donations there. As we were shy to ask for donations, our bag is not as full as the others. Soon we were tired of walking and

decided to stay at a place where many people pass by.

At about thirty minutes after we had settle down at that place, one group of students from a school also came here to collect donations, and their bags were almost full! We were furious as we could not get any donations. But after much though, i felt that it is the effort and not the amount .

Soon, it was almost noon at about 11.30am, we decided to stop and headed back to return the donations we collected. After this flag day, i was exhausted but i also felt that it is the process that is important and not the amount collected.After all, this flag day wasn't that bad.

Opinions about CIP work.

I think that CIP work is boring. The school should make it voluntary and shouldn't have any point systems. This is because most of the students don't like to do any CIP work. But they are forced to do. Whats the point of doing if he or she is not willing to do it! And the school still say
CIP work is compulsory to volunteer.Don't make any sense to me.

But on the hand, not doing any CIP is also not very good as you do not help people and by helping people you will feel good! For me, I like doing CIP work as i feel that helping others is a good habit and also i feel good after helping them!
